I began my fitness journey in high school with Junior Recruits of The Corps (JROTC) a program that teaches high school students about citizenship, service, personal responsibility, and leadership. I was in a fitness program called raider team in which we participated in competitions of 2 mile runs, pushups, and pull-ups.
This showed me the power of overcoming the mind which is the limiting factor of how far we can go and how we look past motivation to propel us forward to accomplishing our goals.
This journey of fitness led me to seek continual growth after high-school which was the catalyst for me to see how far I can go passed my physical limits. This coupled with my medical related courses in college and certifications made me understand the importance of nutrition and fitness.
Fitness brought me happiness internally and externally from my mind, joints, ligaments and how I viewed myself and the world around me. Understanding the “why?” behind the benefits I was gaining made me desire to spread that same growth in quality of happiness, health and mentality.
Witnessing the happiness from all areas of life; an athlete competing at higher caliber, a bodybuilder seeing new muscle structures, an individual with limited range of motion finally being nimble, someone suffering from weight related health conditions become undiagnosable and confident, or someone fitting clothing they’ve been desiring to fit for years.
Holistic medicine of fitness and nutrition to see all levels and walks of life reach happiness.
This is my “why” and happiness in being a trainer!
My turning point was seeing my potential being blocked or not becoming attainable from self implicated limitations. Faith, fitness, and nutrition brought me to new heights of confidence, strength, and happiness. Seeing the best version of myself mentally and physically and how it builds true connections to help others find their potential became the force behind why I enjoy doing what I do.
